Blue Heron African Metal Sculpture with S-Bend Neck. These metal bird sculptures were carefully hand crafted into whimisical poses, produced from scrap metal and old oil drums. Made In:Zimbabwe. The Heron wading bird native throughout temperate Europe, Asia, and also parts of Africa. Its lazy in flight with its long neck retracted in a distinguished s-shaped fashion. This species breeds in colonies within trees, close to lakes, the sea-shore or other wetlands, although it will also nest in reed beds. It builds large, bulky stick nests. This bird is most seen in the motionless stance, along shorelines, waiting patiently for a quick bite.
